Alkebuleum Foundation Inc.
We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to the long-term health of the Alkebuleum ecosystem — funding research, supporting builders, and advancing digital sovereignty rooted in African heritage.
Why We Exist
The Alkebuleum Foundation exists to ensure the ecosystem grows with integrity — open, decentralised, and rooted in the communities it was built to serve. We do not control the chain. We serve it.
Research & Protocol
We fund independent research into protocol design, cryptography, consensus mechanisms, and security — ensuring Alkebuleum remains technically sound and future-proof.
Ecosystem Grants
We provide grants to builders, developers, and community organisers creating open-source public goods on or for the Alkebuleum ecosystem — no equity, no strings.
Education & Community
We support developer education, community events, and documentation efforts that lower the barrier to participation — especially across the African continent and diaspora.
How We Help
Three programmes through which the Foundation deploys resources into the ecosystem. All funded work is open-source and non-commercial.
Direct funding for open-source projects building on or for the Alkebuleum ecosystem. Proposals are submitted and voted on-chain via uGov.
Funding independent research aligned with the Alkebuleum Whitepaper — with AI and blockchain convergence as the ultimate horizon.
A six-month programme for early-stage founders and developers building on Alkebuleum — funding, mentorship, and ecosystem access. No equity taken.
The People
The Foundation is led by a small, dedicated team committed to the long-term mission of the Alkebuleum ecosystem.

The Underlying Network
Alkebuleum is the sovereign, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain that the Foundation supports. It is not controlled by the Foundation — it is maintained by a decentralised network of validators, developers, and community contributors worldwide.
